Our History

Thornhill Nursery School & Kindergarten was incorporated in 1956 by families in the Thornhill area looking to find a quality nursery school program for their children.

In the early 1960s, the school relocated to a more permanent residence at the Thornhill Presbyterian Church on Centre Street. This facility served the school well until, in 1977, the school moved to larger premises at its current location of the Holy Trinity Church on Brooke Street.

The school continues to model its philosophy on parent participation and working hand in hand with families as a partnership to create a positive and enriched first-school experience for young children. Each year, the school exceeds the required qualifications outlined by the Ministry of Education’s licensing.
