SINCE 1956
Our Philosophy
Thornhill Nursery School & Kindergarten’s curriculum encompasses the play-based philosophy with the Reggio Emilia, Montessori and Emergent curriculums integrated within children’s interests. We have adapted the curriculum to allow 1:1 attention between the students and teachers on a daily basis. Thornhill Nursery School & Kindergarten provides a strong foundation of social and academic skills that aim at developing the whole child. Growth is fostered through a challenging curriculum, balancing enriched programming with opportunities that promote creativity and social interaction. From the start, our warm and nurturing environment has focused on building self-esteem and self-confidence, enabling each child to reach their potential, while encouraging a lifelong love of learning. Children learn best through play and hands-on experiences. Our behaviour management policy is based on setting realistic age-appropriate limits.
